What is Recycling? Recycling is a process through which waste materials can be manufactured into reusable forms. Recycling saves energy and reduces pollution by reducing the need for virgin resources. The purchase of recycled products is the final step in the recycling process. LOCAL OPPORTUNITIES Whether through curbside recycling pickup, drop-off collection centers or recycling drives, Benton County citizens have many opportunities to recycle.
Curbside Pickup ProgramsSeveral area municipalities offer curbside recycling pickup. Click here for a list of municipal waste haulers that may also provide recycling services. Or, contact your local city administration office for information about programs in your area.
Drop-off Collection CentersThere are several permanent recycling drop-off centers in Benton County. Typically these facilities allow access to bins for drop-off of household recyclables 24 hours per day. Click here for locations and typical materials.
Recycling DriveThe District provides a monthly recycling drive in the Lost Bridge area. Click here for more information.
School and Non-Profit Recycling Collection The District offers a recycling pickup program for area schools and non-profit agencies. District staff will pick up recyclable materials from these facilities, usually at no charge. Click here for more information.
