COMMERCIAL HAZARDOUS WASTE

Federal and state law prohibits hazardous waste (such as fluorescent bulbs, chemicals, used oil, paints, etc.) generated by a business, school, church, government agency or other entity from being disposed of through the Household Hazardous Waste program.

To assist you with commercially generated hazardous waste handling, ADEQ has produced several brochures and guidance documents regarding proper handling of various hazardous waste items.  You can find these at http://www.adeq.state.ar.us/poa/brochures/brochures.asp

There are also many Hazardous Waste Disposal companies which are capable of handing commercially generated hazardous waste.  To find companies that can provide disposal options, conduct a web search for Hazardous Waste Disposal companies.

Please perform due diligence in determining if the company you choose manages their waste in an environmentally-friendly manner and that they are properly licensed for collection of your specific waste.
