website offers information on the many services we offer as well as information
on various types of solid waste management including waste reduction and reuse,

The Benton County Solid Waste District is
a governmental agency responsible for assisting citizens with proper
management of solid waste including all the garbage and recoverable
resources created by households, commercial sites (restaurants, offices,
stores), and institutions ( schools, museums, libraries).
The District supports integrated waste
management options to safely and effectively manage municipal solid
waste. An integrated waste management system focuses on the
following concepts: |

Reducing the amount of solid waste
generated

Repairing and reusing items and
materials

Recycling waste materials when
possible

Composting organic materials
-
Properly disposing of all other
materials

Our services include planning and
implementation of recycling programs, Household Hazardous Waste
collection, public education regarding solid waste issues, etc. |
